INTRODUCING DR. TONY WOLD, Associate Vice Chancellor, Chief Financial Officer

CONTRA COSTA COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT

Dr. Tony Wold is the Associate Vice Chancellor, Chief Financial Officer for the Contra Costa Community College District (“4CD”).  Dr. Wold has served as the Chief Business Official and Associate Superintendent in multiple California School Districts including Santa Ana Unified and Westminster in Orange County and has served as Chief Business Official and Associate Superintendent of West Contra Costa Unified School District.  Tony joined 4CD in August 2023 and is focused on building support systems and processes that will ensure the colleges are able to support the needs of Contra Costa County in preparing the workforce for tomorrow.

Tony received his doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Southern California in 2005 and previously completed his Business degree from USC as well.  Tony was born in Redwood City and began his educational career as a teacher and football and track and field coach.  Most recently, Dr. Wold was an ambassador for School Innovations & Achievement focusing on the crisis in chronic absenteeism impacting education across the country and he was the principal designer in DistrictOS which is a SaaS company that helps educational institutions to connect and reconcile data from multiple systems that previously was only able to be done by hand.

If you want a better understanding of current school financing, the extent of bonded indebtedness, and the funding status of Pensions and OPEB, Tony knows the school financial health system and problems encountered better than anyone.

Please join us at our October CoCoTax Luncheon October 27th at 11:45 am.
