Born and raised in Northern California, Ben was involved with 4-H and FFA programs. His passion for the agriculture industry led him to attend California State University, Fresno where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Education, with an emphasis in Agriculture Business. He also holds a Certificate in Applied Public Policy and Government from California State University, Sacramento.  Ben began working in public policy in 2015 as a Senate Fellow for Senator Andy Vidak, representing Fresno, Kings, Kern and Tulare Counties.  More recently, for the Western Propane Gas Association (WPGA),  Ben served as the Regulatory Affairs Specialist representing propane marketers, retailers, and producers. Ben brings his wide experience to Swing Strategies as an Account Executive. In his capacity with Swing Strategies, his latest endeavor involves California Legalization of Sports betting.  Two measures to legalize sports betting will appear on the November 8 ballot. In his presentation he will also cover the five other statewide ballot measures on the November 8th ballot.

Proposition 26 the California Sports Wagering Regulation and Unlawful Gambling Enforcement Act, a State Constitutional Amendment, is backed by certain Native American tribes, allows tribal casino to expand offerings and four horse race tracks to offer sports betting.

Proposition 27 the California Solutions to Homelessness and Mental Health Act is backed by several large sports betting companies, including ‘FanDuel” and “Draft Kings” and would legalize online sports and mobile sports betting outside of native American lands.

Come and listen to a special interest battle in which all Californians may lose big and five other statewide measures affecting Californians.  Please register on the CoCoTax website in advance where you can pay online, or bring check or cash to pay at the door - $25 for members, $30 for non-members.
