Jack Weir Elected as President

            The Contra Costa Taxpayers Association announces the election of Jack Weir as president for 2015/2016.  CoCoTax has advocated for good government at affordable cost to taxpayers in the county for over 75 years, taking positions on tax measures and educating voters on issues.

            Weir is a long-time taxpayer activist, serving on three local school bond oversight committees, including the community college, Mt. Diablo and John Swett districts, overseeing over one billion in school bonds.  Weir is a former board member of the California League of Bond Oversight Committees (CaLBOC).

            Weir is a former Pleasant Hill city councilman, and former director of the County Connection transit agency.  A decorated US Army veteran, Weir is co-founder of the Contra Costa County Veterans Employment Committee, and is a member of American Legion Post 178.

New Business Manager

            Denise Sheehan has replaced Holly Dickerson as the new Business Manager of the Contra Costa Taxpayers Association.  Denise brings strong experience in business management and social media development.  Denise can be reached at 925 289-6900 or

            CoCoTax has advocated for “Good government at affordable cost” for over 75 years in the county and at the state level.  CoCoTax partners with the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association and other pro-taxpayer groups, and takes positions on ballot measures and other matters with taxpayer impact.
